Top 10 Fashion Bloggers from Stockholm

Last week I showed you the Top 10 Fashion Bloggers Cities and Countries Recap and one missing City was of course Stockholm! Stockholm is well known for it's Street Style and for a reason! The beautiful Swedes have a truly magnificent and well know sense of style but that doesn't stop the Stockholm Fashion Bloggers to simply do what they love to do, with some really influencing and masterminding these very popular Swedish looks and others showcasing as easily something totally different! PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT SERVICE : 

Greetings Ladies & Gentlemen. 

As most of you might know, I have been inking close to 8 years and without a doubt, it has been a great experience. But, after weeks of battling with my Demons, as to whether or not to continue this trade, has finally came to a standstill and I finally made a decision, which would either erase me for who I am, or would push me up in the league in this industry. 

Whatever the outcome might be, I guess its all for the best. So, as of the 1st of August 2013 onwards, I would no longer be taking in anymore appointments for tattoos until further notice. But do note, all ongoing pieces will still be continued and some new appointments ( only for special cases) will still be entertained. To add on to that, I would only be tattooing on what I want to tattoo as well. I am sick and tired of doing repeated designs of the same old hearts and tribals and phrases and what not. 

I would be taking couple of months break from tattooing to embark into a new journey ; a new project, in which I desperately want to accomplish by end of 2013.

Some almost, but not really, news about booking with Uncle Allan

So, last week on twitter, Allan dropped this little gem on his followers:

And while it's true we've been talking about changing the booking system, i wasn't quite done with the waiting list at that point, and i am still not done, as there are still quite a few people i have to contact before we move on to a new system.

When we came up with the idea for the separate email waiting list, i pretty much thought it was an idea of pure genius, mostly because i wouldn't have to answer emails with a "no, sorry, he's all booked up" every day.
And most people responded positively, and seemed to have nothing but the best intentions of waiting for as long as it'd take for them to get tattooed.
But the wait was apparently too long, and not everybody lived up to their promise of waiting patiently, and instead of letting us know they were no longer interested in getting tattooed, they'd simply not respond when offered an appointment.
Obviously changing your mind about getting tattooed is fine, and so is running out of patience, but not even replying to emails is pretty immature if you ask me, and kind of a ginourmous waste of time too.

The people who did reply, and who have now had their tattoos done, or will within the next few months, were of course awesome, and i think they're great for waiting around for so long to get tattooed, i'd just hoped there'd be a more reasonable repliers to non-repliers ratio!

So while i still think the waiting list idea is pretty great (seriously, it was, and not just because i came up with it, ahem!) we're gonna have to try something new. Or old, i suppose.

The plan for now is that within the next couple of weeks, i will contact the rest of the people currently on the waiting list and offer them a date to get tattooed.
And after that, we'll probably go back to the old ways of letting you all know here and on twitter/instagram when we're opening up for bookings.
Yeah. More emails for me, but hopefully we'll make some people happy about not having to sign up and wait indefinitely for an appointment!
We will stick to booking about 3-4 months at a time, cause that works best for us, and honestly, we never wanna be booked out years in advance ever again.
So yeah, those are the not-really-news-at-all of the day!

 In other non-news, it looks as if we'll finally get some home made cake next week.

Seriously, when did people stop bringing cake to their appointments, and more importantly, why?!

If all it is is a subtle hint about our weight, i gotta say, we are very offended!

Best Sale Season Find

It's sale season and I just had to share my most perfect shopping steal before they are all sold out! These copper/rose gold Zara heels are so effing gorgeous and go so well with like my whole wardrobe! The most perfect shoes right now and yes on sale! I have been wearing them non stop these past few days!

Painting...

Now all of the paintings of my last series on wood are sold, I decided to start on a new one. For the first time the lady will have short hair, maybe that has something to do with her new hairstyle :-)

I can't wait to show you more, but first of all I have to finish up some birth cards, because the summer will be full of new life!

Studded

Wearing my studded biker jacket again! The jacket still needs to be worn-in more before it will become really nice (secretly I'm hoping for some rain) Leather just gets better when it's more weathered in my opinion :)

Alice in Wonderland necklaces via Le Blog de Sushi


How adorable are these? These self created necklaces for a Alice in Wonderland themed exhibition all carry a tiny piece of paper from the original book inside of them and go for $40 each, I'm not sure if any are left but I really hope so! Found them on Le blog de Sushi here.

A fluttering tease

I love white dresses in Spring/Summer but... yes... the sun loves white dresses too hahahaha
I always wear bikini's underneath, to keep the see-through as... well... as decent as possible, the see-through mostly comes from the back-light and because of the abundance of fabric in a long length dress like this it's mostly just a fluttering tease instead of really being see-through... I call this dress my "single-no-more-dress" as a joke of course ;)

Last week's highlights

A beautiful view on the mountains, a cabin and - not hard to recognize - 2 robins sitting in the tree. A nice scenery and a great reminder of the fact that it's finally summer - for real!

Olivier asked for a lady with a kind of mocking attitude, as opposed to his wife's version of the same theme (as you can see below).

A tougher lady than I usually draw, this one is inspired on an avenging angel.

For Petra (Olivier's wife), I tattooed a sweet and innocent angel, standing peacefully between the flowers.

And guess what, Petra and Olivier are also from Bornem. We should take a picture of all of the 'Bornemnaars' together! :-)

Business as usual

Walk-in week was last week, and what a fun little experiment that was!
Some days were super busy, some not so much, but everyone got to do a bunch of fun tattoos (there was even an all skulls day!) and we met some rad people.
We'll definitely be doing it again some other time during the summer, possibly on a weekend, so feel free to drop a date request in the comments. Who knows, we might pick yours?

Anyway, we're back to normal, and i am currently booking from Uncle Allan's waiting list, so if you're on it, check your email, and possibly your spam filter.
And if you're not on it, now is the time to sign up!

And while i have your attention, if you have an unfinished piece in progress by Allan, how about sending me an email and getting booked in  to finish it?
