Painting...

Now all of the paintings of my last series on wood are sold, I decided to start on a new one. For the first time the lady will have short hair, maybe that has something to do with her new hairstyle :-)

I can't wait to show you more, but first of all I have to finish up some birth cards, because the summer will be full of new life!

Last week's highlights

A beautiful view on the mountains, a cabin and - not hard to recognize - 2 robins sitting in the tree. A nice scenery and a great reminder of the fact that it's finally summer - for real!

Olivier asked for a lady with a kind of mocking attitude, as opposed to his wife's version of the same theme (as you can see below).

A tougher lady than I usually draw, this one is inspired on an avenging angel.

For Petra (Olivier's wife), I tattooed a sweet and innocent angel, standing peacefully between the flowers.

And guess what, Petra and Olivier are also from Bornem. We should take a picture of all of the 'Bornemnaars' together! :-)

Comfort(able) zone

My desk, my macbook and pen and paper, that's my comfort zone. On the wall some mandala/crochet inspirated blueprints. Crochet doilies may seem a little dull, but they often have beautiful patterns, very similar to mandalas.

I don't understand anything about the crocheting itself, but my the lady of the house does :-) . You can follow her here.

So, what I wanted to show you: the design I made in my 'comfort zone' on Tuesday...
